We are seeking a seasoned IT Senior to lead the technology vision and execution for AsiaLabs Vietnam. This role combines strategic leadership with technical depth, overseeing infrastructure, LIS software, data warehouse systems, analytics platforms, and AI initiatives. The IT Senior will ensure robust, secure, and scalable systems that enable our laboratories to deliver timely, high-quality diagnostics and insights.
This role requires close collaboration with regional IT leadership, clinical and lab operations, and external partners, positioning IT as a driver of innovation, efficiency, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Define and implement a long-term IT strategy aligned with AsiaLabs’ business and clinical goals.
• Drive digital transformation across the organization, identifying technology opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as the technology thought leader in Vietnam, advising executive leadership on IT investments and priorities.
Infrastructure & Security
• Oversee the design, maintenance, and scaling of core IT infrastructure (on-prem, hybrid, and cloud), ensuring high availability, reliability, and cybersecurity.
• Implement and enforce best practices in network security, data protection, backup and recovery, and system integrity.
• Ensure infrastructure readiness for new lab locations or technology rollouts.
Laboratory Information System (LIS) Oversight
• Lead the implementation, customization, and evolution of LIS platforms to meet Vietnam's lab workflows, compliance needs, and integration requirements.
• Ensure seamless data exchange between LIS, diagnostic instruments, ERP systems, and external healthcare platforms.
Data Architecture & Analytics
• Design and oversee a robust, scalable data warehouse that aggregates, transforms, and secures data from multiple sources.
• Enable business units with real-time dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making.
• Collaborate with regional data teams to apply analytics and AI models across the diagnostic value chain.
AI & Innovation Initiatives
• Partner with data scientists and clinical teams to integrate AI tools into diagnostic workflows (e.g., predictive diagnostics, quality assurance, anomaly detection).
• Oversee AI pilot projects and ensure operational and ethical implementation of machine learning models.
Team & Vendor Management
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing multidisciplinary IT team across infrastructure, software, data, and support.
• Develop and manage IT budgets, procurement strategies, and vendor contracts to ensure value, quality, and compliance.
• Foster a service-oriented culture, ensuring IT delivers timely and effective support to internal stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., Vietnam PDP Law, ISO standards, GDPR/HIPAA equivalents).
• Own IT governance frameworks, policies, and risk management plans for all technology assets and services.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering (required); Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
• Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, TOGAF, CISSP, AWS/Azure certifications) are a plus.
Experience
• Minimum 7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Tech Lead or equivalent), preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or highly regulated industries.
• Proven track record in managing enterprise infrastructure, LIS or HIS platforms, and complex systems integration.
• Experience leading large-scale data, analytics, or AI-driven projects.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations, clinical IT, and healthcare technology compliance frameworks is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership, stakeholder alignment, and vendor management.
Technical Competence
• Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure (networks, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity).
• Proficiency in data architecture (SQL/NoSQL, ETL, BI tools) and analytics strategy.
• Experience with healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and integration middleware.
• Understanding of AI/ML deployment, model lifecycle, and governance in applied settings.
Leadership & Soft Skills
• Strategic thinker with operational acumen and the ability to drive both innovation and execution.
• Strong communicator, capable of influencing executive stakeholders and leading diverse teams.
• Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented, with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Vietnamese is strongly preferred.
